What should I do going on for my root-canal tooth whose trilby won't fit right?
I didn't realize they grind the tooth down SO much surrounded by order to place the sou`wester on. Well, my cap kept falling rotten, so I said to myself, forget it. So now I've gone in the order of 5 months w/ this bare, ground down tooth. What is going to arise? Will the tooth get cavity? Will it crumble? Will I need to seize it pulled? I'm embarrassed to step back to the dentist. HELP!
Answer:
Go rear legs now!
don't be embarassed, the dentists work is moderately at fault too -- bequeath them a chance to correct it.
I have a cap nose-dive off, and even though it be only stale for about a month, my other teeth have begun shifting to compensate.
Letting it stir can restult in cavity, infections, abcesses and pain that you won't believe. Better to produce the appointment and get it fixed than finish off up having other teeth pulled, or appendage up with a requirement for oral surgery. Its a pain surrounded by the jaw, the a** AND the wallet!
step back to the dentist or u'll want another root canal
shift back to the dentist and report to him what happend.
If you don't trust that dentist's quality of work, ask your own flesh and blood members or friends to refer you to a dentist they trust.
You really should not depart a grinded-down tooth exposed like that. It will verbs to decay and crumble save covered up with a bonnet.
really, as emmbarrasing as it may seem to you, you really should move about to back to the dentist. it may be embarrasing, but its better than possibly have no tooth at all.
For what you have to pay to enjoy the root canal and hat done they need to fix it until it fits right! Those things are ridiculously expensive and you should not enjoy to pay another dentist to fix what the other messed up.
The tooth can and will obtain cavities or even crumble. Go to the dentist! It doesn't enjoy to be the same dentist.
HELLO LINDA,
LET ME FIRST EXPLAIN A BIT AS TO WHAT HAPPENS TO A TOOTH THAT HAD A ROOT CANAL.
WHEN THE ROOT CANAL IS DONE, THE SMALL BLOOD VESSELS AND NERVE ARE ALL REMOVED.
THESE ARE NECESSARY TO KEEP THE TOOTH MOIST FROM WITHIN.
WHAT THEN HAPPENS IS THAT THE TOOTH BEGINS TO DRY AND BECOME BRITTLE. THE WRONG BITE AT THE WRONG TIME CAN CAUSE A BREAK IN THE TOOTH. THIS IS THE REASON WHY A CROWN IS RECOMMENDED AFTERWARD.
IF THE TOOTH IS NOT PROPERLY GROUND FOR THE CROWN, THE CAP OR CROWN CAN COME OFF EASILY.
5 MONTHS WILL MEAN THAT THE TOOTH NEEDS TO BE RE-GROUND FOR A NEW CROWN, AS THIS PRESENT SHAPE WON'T BE ADEQUATE.
ULTIMATELY THE TOOTH WILL EVENTUALLY CRUMBLE W/O A CROWN.
MUCH DEPENDS ON THE VALUE YOU PUT ON THIS TOOTH. EXTRACTION IS AN ALTERNATIVE, BUT THE MISSING TOOTH NOW HAS TO BE REPLACED BY A BRIDGE.
THIS MEANS THAT THE TEETH TO EITHER SIDE OF THE EXTRACTED TOOTH NEED TO ALSO BE GROUND FOR A BRIDGE.
ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE IS AN IMPLANT. INSURANCE DOES NOT PAY FOR THIS.
THERE IS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OR EMBARRASSED ABOUT. THIS IS YOUR MOUTH, AND YOU ARE THE BOSS. JUST MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION. GOOD LUCK.
i reflect on you should have it pulled. GO BACK TO THE DENTIST!
