Answer:
It might just be that, that tooth is a tooth that sticks out a little from the others and that tooth is taking a lot of action. If you're grinding you should get a night/mouth guard. You're jaw is hurting from the grinding that you do. And if there is a piece of plastic in between your teeth, then you would be grinding the plastic not your teeth. Everything shouldn't hurt anymore if you get a nightguard.
Sounds more like you are causing yourself pain through your grinding. This is called Occlusal Trauma. It doesn't sound like the pain is coming from a cavity or an abscess. I think your options are;
1)Checking with an Orthodontist or dentist who does braces to see if the teeth can be aligned better
2)Grind the teeth down where it is necessary to remove any interferences so when you bite together or grind, it won't stress that 1 or 2 teeth out so much
3)As suggested already, wear a nightguard so that you are grinding against slippery plastic and not your teeth.
you seem to be more like a bruxer, night grinding can occur due to many reasons like -- you may have some abscess , so get it checked and treated
--- it might be due to some occlusal interference like high filling done or some orthodontic movement of tooth which is causing stress and therby leading to night grinding.so consult your dentist and get the corrections done.
---it might be occurring due to one of the most common cause that is mental stress , you might be undergoing lot of stress ,fear and anxiety due any reason ,so try relaxing and if needed can take help of psychologist aswell in relieving stress.
