Wire Braces?
Answer:
i havent heard of wire braces up to date, maybe your dentist is reffering to the traditional braces which you often see attached on the front surface of the teeth, wherein a wire is replaced consecutively as the teeth aligns as it progress to achieve a better profile and contour.
to date, there is your conventional braces (the braces are attached to the front surface of your teeth), the lingual braces(the braces are attached to the back side of your teeth), and invisalign ( its like a clear plastic tray fitted into your mouth in succession)
yes its true that after wearing your removable orthodontic appliance, which i suppose is to enlarge the size of your arch form, you could wear your braces in a lesser time, because the initial activation which is enlargement of your arch has been done by the appliance that you are currently wearing.
