Depending on how bad the cavity is, they might expiration up doing a root canal, but since you asked for the innards, they will start by numbing you(it's a life savor)...next they will start to break down the tooth by drilling it so that they can fill it near the filling, and it will bring a while depending on the size of the cavity and tooth. Then they will fill it up, shape it, and that should be that.
Hope this help
Good luck
First, the dentist will numb the area around the tooth to be worked on next to a local anesthetic. Next, a drill, air abrasion instrument or laser will be used to remove the gone-off area. The choice of instrument depends on the individual dentist's comfort stratum, training, and investment in the fastidious piece of equipment as well as location and extent of the rust.

Next, your dentist will probe or try-out the area during the rotting removal process to determine if all the corrosion has be removed. Once the decay have been removed, your dentist will prepare the space for the satisfying by cleaning the cavity of bacteria and jetsam. If the decay is close by the root, your dentist may first put in a liner made of cup ionomer, composite resin, or other material to protect the bottle. Generally, after the filling is surrounded by, your dentist will finish and polish it.

Several additional steps are required for tooth-colored filling and are as follows. After your dentist has removed the breakdown and cleaned the area, the tooth-colored bits and pieces is applied in layer. Next, a special light that "cures" or harden each seam is applied. When the multilayering process is completed, your dentist will shape the composite material to the desired result, trim sour any excess material and polish the final restoration.
hope this help.
