Does novacaine hurt when they inject within ur mouth?
Answer:
It feels more discomfited than painful. I can`t bear actually self numb more than feeling the prick.
You will be aware of a slight pin prick from the needle. You will not get the impression the Novocaine going in.
Just the initial pinprick... for a few second. Sometimes it can be sore for a day or so, if the nozzle hits a nerve. No focal pain.
It's resembling any other shot you get...it hurts for a second when the syringe first goes within but only for a second as you attain numb immediately (usually they rub some on your gums past they even give the shot though so sometimes you don't quality a thing!)
Pain is individual,,, however if you are worried or concerned.. relate your dentist and request a topical Novocaine first. They even come in flavors close to Pina Colada! Then when they inject you don't feel a entity. Just a hint, don't look at the nozzle, close your eyes it is going to over and you will never k now why you even posted this request for information it is going to be a piece of cake for you!
Sometimes it'll sting and burn a little, but sometimes I present people injections and they didn't even know what I be doing. It depends on where they are injecting it and who is doing the injecting.
Dentist can numb the nouns with a swab of some medication and you will lone feel a slight pinch. The "pain" of the nozzle is nothing compared to what it would be close to without the novacaine.
Yes it hurts.at lowest possible it always have for me. But it's a small discomfort compared to the alternative!
I'd describe it as a little pinch. It with the sole purpose hurts initially, and then your mouth starts to take numb so it stops hurting.
Good luck!
It depends on how good the dentist is. I work for an oral surgeon and his patients state they couldn't even be aware of the needle going surrounded by. He's been doing it for 30+ years though. Find an experience dentist and he/she should run care of you.
