Do Braces Hurt when u attain them on?

Or after the braces r on ..or after about a week ...i simply want answers from people who own had or own braces please because i'm going to get braces!

Answer:
OKay, I deduce I beat adjectives of you when I say that I hold had my braces on for 5 years, and I still own them on =]
okay, them don't HURT, they get sore, becasue they tighten your teeth so they move straight. It will hurt to chomp through for a couple of days, but the soreness will fade away. try ibuprofen, or any considerate of pain murderer. When you get them on the same wavelength every month, they tend to be sore for about a daylight or two, but it normal, becasue your teeth are anyone tightened to be straightened. Trust me, I know What i'm talking nearly. I have have oral surgery before, but don't verbs about that. Just presume - all the soreness you go through will be worth it in the run out, wil perfect, white, straight teeth!
yea
Yes some could hurt doomed to failure, ask the doctor what you can take for the agony.
yes it is uncomfortable but you can minimize your discomfort by taking tylenol or advil beforehand you go to the doctors.

It is adjectives worth it in the closing stages when you have a good-looking smile :)
I had them for 13 months going on for 10 years ago, so I guess it's probable that the technology has changed.

For me, they didn't hurt much the sunshine they are put on. I'm not going to lie - the DAY AFTER is some of the most intense anguish I have ever feel. Even lightly touching your teeth together is agonizing. But it get better after a few days, and pretty soon you don't even notice it. Having a bigger flex put in is mortified, but bearable.
braces dont hurt when you are getting them on but the night you obtain them on, they will start to hurt and they kill for almost a week. dont worry, the distress will go away. remember: advil, soft foods and ICE CREAM!
Oh yes. The misery will last a week or two. And later you will adjust.

Advil is better then tylenol as it address the inflammation as very well as the pain. The dr. will also bequeath you a salve to assistance.
Getting my braces on didn't hurt a bit...or even afterwards. They never bothered me. But I heard from a few friends whos mouths be a bit sore. Use it as an excuse to eat as much rime cream as possible...that should ease any soreness! Good luck!
This is the second time I've have braces, and I've had braces for most of my time unfortunately (I'm really unlucky, my mouth is completely very messed up). Not to alarm you or anything, but braces really suck. Don't take any of that "don't munch through any popcorn or carrots or nuts" crap from the ortho, of late eat it and watch out not to break off a bracket (which happen alot, too). Braces do hurt alot when you first get them, but its a dull distress. Take tylenol before/right after you get them on and put away soft foods for the week after and you'll be fine. It just get better after that whn they tighten the braces so the pain solitary lasts for several days afterwards instead. Good luck!
The time I got my braces on I be only pensively aware of what was taking place. I had be in the orthodontists a quantity of times for pre-braces visits, and be caught off guard. I get up, ran my tongue over my teeth to find it have been done. The braces themselves don't hurt as they are necessarily glued on. What ends up human being painful (and continues to be painful) is the wires. Once I sit back down and they wired me surrounded by, my mouth was sore. You can't get through solid food for about forty eight hours (soft bread, mash potatoes, very soggy cereal etc...is what you can expect to live on) and after that you touch fine. However, the next appointment they tighten them and you're put a bet on to square one. So, no real agony when they put them on, but ongoing soreness for the next couple of years.
not at first but the subsequent day i will not fake it HURTS VARY BADLY
oh yeah
OH YEA BOTH!!
Mine did for a bit. Only about a week. Taking Tylenol help a lot, so does ingestion soft foods (no steak for you!) and putting dental wax on the parts that rub against the inside of your lips.
Mine did not hurt that impossible when i got them on but once a month when i would shift and get them tightened is when i would be contained by pain. They would only just get existing sore. But when you get those babies rotten and your teeth are great it will all be worth it.
not right when they put it on, but a few hours after that. It will hurt for a few days and you will get used to them. I newly got my braces roughly 4 months ago.
yes they do. the first few hours it doesn't hurt and then at hours of darkness and the next week something like u will feel the distress. it will hurt more or less depending on how much problems that u enjoy in your mouth. the cramp eventually goes away. the lone time they will hurt again is probably when u get the power fasten or get them tightened. biddable luck!! :]
It really depends on you level of aching tolerance. I got braces when I be 13 and had them for 4 years! It didn't hurt when they be putting them on. The thing that they use to spread your mouth clear kinda makes your orifice and cheeks sore. But it really didn't start hurting til that night. I lost 5 pounds that week! I have to eat soup, jello, rime cream, ect. It's not that bad and immediately I have a GREAT smile!!
it doesnt hurt when they put them on but after a couple of hours they HURT LIKE CRAP!!
Yea...all right i never had braces but i am getting them on within august. My last questiion be basically indistinguishable as yours, so you might want to see it.
spacers are wat they usely put a week before u put onthe braces. they r used to provide room for the band, which hold the wires, which hold the braces

***pink and light blue are cute colors

***NEVER gain white or clear bands bring white looks like food is stuck contained by ur braces and clear like it u guzzle ketchup or a lollipop or somethin, they stain

***they put the bands, and consequently every time u go posterior u get to choose trial colors

k
i have gotton em on over 6 times (dont ask!)

it doesnt hurt dont worry-it is a short time ago a long process and it tastes kinda desperate

they give u a company on ur molars fiist, to see ur size and stuff

first theu put this positioner thing is ur mouth, it make your mouth stretch a lkot so they can see ur teeth, it will bother u for a minute or 2 but u will get used to it, u hang on to that thing on the WHOLE time

after there are these things that look close to shots and stuff, i got really freaked out when i first saw them but truly, they dont go surrounded by ur mouth! this is the cement that they put on ur braces then they stick the braces on ur teeth
**the cement kinda taste bad!
they do this the first time and every time u go and get them tightened:

they will put the rubber bands on ur braces near things that look like sisscors (they dont hurt) after that they put the wire-this is the most anoying module cause after they slip it contained by ur mouth, they have to cut it to manufacture it fit right

then to be precise it!Ur done
but after u do it, ask ur doctor for dental wax, and rubber cover up

when u get home use ACT mouthwash and for the first hour, ur teeth may be a bit numb so drink mainly fluids-clear fluids

after for the first day or 2 ur teeth may be a moment or two sensitive so stick with drinking soup, pasta, and soft foods-avoid straws

every night use Peroxyl mouthwash for approaching a week to keep ur gums storng from cuts and use dental wax and rubber coverups so u wont bring back blisters, they hurt a little but arent that doomed to failure. avoid sleeping on ur side, try to keep ur principal straight up for a couple of days

every morning and every night use the Peroxyl mouthwash again for 2 weeks later after that just use ACT mouthwash to hold on to ur teeth and gum s healthy. procure some Super floss, made for braces-i sugest elictrical toothbrushes they keep ur mouth cleaner

dont worry-trust me- i hold had my braces on for almost 4 years, i simply got em rotten 3 days ago-i luv my new smile!
