Hi it sounds similar to a wisdom tooth so i would ask your dentist if he/she think it should be pulled out or not. It is sore because its erupting through your gum this should calm down when its fully through. I would seriously deem about it in the past you make any declaration about getting them surgically removed because it can be uncertain if its a lower tooth due to nerves running close to the roots of the wisdom teeth.
