So it may not be your daughters criticize. i dont think you should ground her for it. and elastics are a TRUE pain!! if you have braces you would be sick of them too and besides, your daughter will realise that the only agency to fix her teeth is to wear them......!!...

When i had braces the rubber band on those metal things on your teeth would jump sour and one of those metal things onese broke off while i be eathing mashed potatos (i think) and it be not my fault. The dentist be a cool dude and he just said it sometimes happen while the braces move you teeth in a different possision the force could exact fatigue in the brace and that might end in it to break.
When I had braces they broke. My orthodontist get on me but in the extremity it wasn't my fault because the basis that was on my molar purely wore down and in the train they just reattached it. He apologized but they are a distress but in the bring to a close braces are worth enduring the twinge.

However, if it was on one of the metal parts, especially the thicker section, then it is more possible your daughter broke it by using force. I always believed within kids getting braces at an early age, but since I enjoy had mine (at 32) I realize that kids won't whip care of their teeth during this time as one would as an developed.
