I have braces and my boyfriend has a lip ring, can we kiss, he doesnt have braces?

my boyfriend and i want to kiss but were not sure if we can because i have braces and a lipring, and he has just a lip ring, We were wondering if we kissed we would get caught on eachother, also we have no problems with the lip rings because we both got pierced on the left, so when we kiss they are on opposite sides. please help.

umm im pretty sure the lip ring is too big to get stuck
