Can you get your x-rays from your dentist after you've paid for them to take them to another dentist?
Answer:
sure can..those are your records to do what you'd like with.
Yes you can.
Yes you can , but after like a year in a half of being to the dentist , they won't be any good.
generally dentists don't accpet x-rays from other offices
Yes you can. I did. I have to have my wisdom teeth removed they took the x-rays and the doctor was weird, so the next day I asked for the x-rays and took them to a different doctor. I don't think that they would charge you though. :)
yes actullaly you can simply tell your current dentist to tranfer them over to the dentist you are wanting to use, They cannot deny you of this. And they will transfer them over.
Actually what you should do, to make it less of a hassle for you is, just sign a release consent form at your new dentist's office. On there write the name and all the information asked for about your old dentist. The new dentist's secretaries will take care of the rest and they will get them no problems.
I did that, but the original dentist charged me a "processing fee" of $20.00!
By law, a dentist must make duplicate records available to the patient within a reasonable amount of time.
They have a right to charge a duplication fee, but many do not.
