I'm 22 yrs old guy with an appointment to get ceramic braces...getting nervous! help a brutha out!?

I'ma 22 year old male and i have an appointment for ceramic braces next week...i have somewhat crowded teeth but nothing serious since some people believe i dont need the braces...i'm trying to make decision on whether i should go forth and do it or just relax...i grew up always wanting to do something about my teeth...my issue is how i would look and how girls feel about it...by the way its a 12 month process

Answer:
Relax! Braces are no big deal and are not painful to have put on, however your teeth will be sore for a couple of days after that because the teeth will start to move, but it is nothing that ibuprofen cannot take care of. i would highly recommend getting the braces now because if you don't you will regret it later. There is nothing sexier than a man with perfect white teeth. Remember that you smile is the first thing that most people look at :)
Do it. If it is something you always wanted to do then go for it. How about Invisiline?
do it ! it will make u feel much better i had mine on for 5 years and they were like 5,000 dollars and i am so glad that i did it !!

its not too painful and its so easy do it now !!

mine were metal and were just fine -- the invisaline is a much harder thing and just as expensive get the metal ones they go quicker and come off quicker also
Dude, chillax!
Braces are no big deal!
I'm in 7th grade, and I have to have them for 2 whole years!
Braces are cool because you can have different colors! Right now I have blue, last time i had pink, and the time before that I had green!
Besides, You'll be a lot happier after your teeth are fixed.
Think of how much better you'll look in photos!
If you think you need them, get them. I wore braces for three years in middle school. Not very comfortable, but they worked. Have you looked into those clear ones, I think they are called invisiline?
What does your dentist think? I think if it makes you feel better about your appearance, and you can afford it, go ahead, but read the literature first. There can be repercussions, such as a receding gum line. Check it out first, and make sure you follow all procedures for the best results, should you decide to do it, like flossing, and not drinking much soda, etc. It is a committment. Be sure you want to do what it takes for a year. Good luck.
