Mouth problem help?
Answer:
For severe gingivitis, you need to treat it with chlorhexidine. See your pharmacist or dentist, if you live in Canada, you will need a prescription. There is no better treatment for that but another effective product is called Steri-sol and that is available over the counter. As far as naturally whitening your teeth, you can use baking soda and peroxide. This will also help prevent the gingivitis from coming back thanks to the peroxide.Dilute it in a little bit of water and swish twice daily for 60 seconds then brush. Use a soft toothbrush and brush downwards, not sideways. Use a whitening toothpaste as well, it will whiten your teeth but don't expect drastic results. Rinse after you drink coffee, tea or cola since these drinks do stain your teeth. I assume that you're not a smoker? That will stain your teeth a whole lot. Remember, don't give the stains a chance to settle in. Good luck
I would be of the opinion that you see a dental surgeon about curing the Gingivitis first! Before trying anything else. Have a good day.
baking soda for whitening, put in on your toothbrush add a little water...as for food, im sorry but i dont think so...remberant whitening toothpaste helps if you want to try that as well:)
If it is really bad I would first maybe try to go get my teeth cleaned at the dentist's, then try the baking soda or even listerine is pretty good I think
i had all mine pulled it wasn't worth keeping them.
Sounds like you have periodontal disease, and there really isn't any "cure" for you to use at home, you must see a dentist. The smell is from the bacteria trapped in the gum pockets around the teeth, and if those pockets are deeper than 3mm, you cannot completely clean them with floss or brushing. You need to see a professional for the correct diagnosis and treatment, or eventually you will begin to notice loose teeth, (if you haven't already) and you will begin to lose your teeth. And by the way, what good will it do to whiten your teeth if they end up in a jar? First priority -see the dentist!! Save your teeth and then worry about whitening your smile.
