Gum might in actual fact be the problem. I used to chew gum a lot and later I started doing the chewing motion at night while I slept. I have to quit chewing gum--not something I wanted to do, but have to.
Alternatively, you are under a large amount of stress and you are working it out at night. You may call for to see a dentist and get a dental guard to prevent the dealing. Eventually you'll stop and won't need the guard any more. Try to work through your stress. I've hear that meditation helps.
very well that a hard one, when your awake and you know that your doing it STOP!! product it a conscious decision. and force yourself to do it. and while you are sleeping bring back a dental Gard
See your Dentist. You can cause ongoing damage! Stress is a principal cause. Use a prescription toothpaste to assist with the sensitivity. Have your Dentist sort you a Professional Mouth-guard for bruxism.

I'm glad I came across this satchel. I'm a dental specialist!! The specific name for your condition is call 'Bruxism'. I am even a victim of it too, because i am a stressed college student, although mine is not exceptionally severe at all.
The most feasible solution for you would be mouth guards. Mouth guards built from a mold of the patient's teeth and mouth are the most common treatment. The guards, which can be fitted for the top or bottom teeth, can be worn at hours of darkness or during the day. Although they won't stop grinding, they provide a buffer that prevents enamel from rubbing on enamel and keep the jaw within a more healthy position. You might still be aware of pain contained by your jaw from adjectives the pressure, but at least your poor teeth's enamel wont be worn down from the grinding. This is a awfully serious problem because you can grind them to the point of fracture or to the point where they inevitability crowns over them, which can be very drastically expensive. Some, but not all insurance companies will cover the cost of the mouth guards. If yours doesn't, create a trip to the local CVS and you will be able to find a cheap mouth guard here. I hope this helps you.
I grind my teeth to my doctor said i be doing that because of the lack of calcium... but holes forming within your teeth ummm i think u should dance to a dentist !! Good Luck
