I clench my teeth at night?
Answer:
If the roots are broken off from the rest of the tooth, a dentist is the way to go. Molars are problem teeth because ot the multiple roots, and leaving the roots in will leave you open to all kinds of problems, not the least one is infection. Infection in your teeth can cause the poisions to make a quick trip to your brain.
Go for the dentist and get it done right. Could save your life, no matter how tough you are.

If you clench your teeth, or grind them at night, you have a condition called bruxism. You should see a dentist who can make you a night guard so that no further damage is done. I would not recommend pulling your own tooth. You want to make sure the area gets cleaned out as well as possible and you don't want to keep any roots in your gum tissue. Not all extractions require sutures, but some do. I'd have the doctor do it, just to be safe.
I'm bad at that as well, and wear a guard.
I wouldn't pull it myself, the hard part isn't having that tooth out, it's having a sharp root with gums trying to grow over, I'm sure that the dentist wants to pull that as well. If you disagree with your dentist, try taking those X-rays to another dental office. If they want the work or your trust there's a good chance that they'll give you an honest opinion.
i do this at nite . get a dental guard i cant afford one now. but they really help . 75 dollars maybe . but you put it on before you go to bed . dont do anything at home you might get an infection good luck to both of us
visit your dentist and have a nightguard made. you will sleep better and be in less pain.
That wouldn't be a smart idea...you could get an infection in the gums and that could lead to even greater problems..i say leave it to a licensed health care professional
Pulling your teeth at home will not solve your teeth grinding and by no means do not pull your teeth and do that! You are not a professional licensed dentist! You may break the roots of your teeth and further more will cause swelling, infection, bleeding and dry socket if not given proper instruction how to take care of your mouth that a licensed dentist could only provide for you. Sewing the hole? Only a dentist can provide a special sterile suture (they could even use the ones that dissolves by itself) and sterile instruments. By you trying to be tough will not save you money... you will end up spending more if you acquire infection and damage to your teeth and gums. You probably need a nightguard too, to help prevent night grinding. Some dental insurance pays for this procedure. Most dentist have financial arrangements to help you get the best dental care you need. After all, they wanted to keep you as a regular customer and take care of you as much as visiting them every 6 months for check up and cleaning. Again, this is the right thing to to do. Don't harm your self when there is professional help!
try wiggling the tooth out...it is possible if it is really loose to do it as home...i would reccommend motrin beforhand to ease the pain, guaze will do...change every half hour(work with oral surgeon) to make sure bleeding will stop within 2 hours otherwise book emargency appiontment with doctor...but if it is really loose you are right you might be better off doing it your self:) also ask for a custom made mouth guard..cheaper, go to a shorps store get one so you dont grind at night:)
