Overall I would say that most of my patient's have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don't cost that much more ($60.00 vs $30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don't use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). In office whitening (like Zoom @about $500.00) can be expensive but does whiten quick. Custom made home trays are also costly but you will have them for a lifetime and just buy more whitening gel as needed. Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again. All of the above products should not strip the enamel off of your teeth when used properly and the chemical in the products have had a long safety record.

well you know comparing the whiter teeth to darker/yellowish/light yellow teeth.... the stronger is light yellow teeth.... all the teeth whitener can chip of the enamel in a minimal and vice versa.way... maybe if you want white teeth try the bleaching"" process!!! ask your dentist!!

Over the counter whiteners really don't work. Plus, teeth whiteners do not strip your teeth of their enamel.Whiteners only strip the teeth of the film over the enamel that cause the staining. That would be horrible! If you want you teeth to be whitening quickly, you can do in office Zoom bleaching. It makes a drastic difference. Also, you can get bleaching trays from your dentist that you may use daily for a little while, for a slower process. Good luck and hope this helped.
