A weird question...?

Let me explain first. For some reason, here lately I've been really jumpy. Simple things; like when it's quiet in the house and my phone rings it makes me jump. I've also noticed something really peculiar--when this happens I get this really strange metallic taste in my mouth. I've never had that before, but sometimes it's really stronge and the taste lingers unless I brush my teeth right afterwords. What could that be?

Answer:
The jumpiness sounds like anxiety. The metallic taste you're getting right after is adrenaline. Adrenaline comes from your pancreas and aids the body in the "fight or flight" defense mechanism.
The jumpiness sounds like an anxiety disorder. Medications such as some antibiotics, prenatal vitamins and antidepressants, as well as drugs used to treat high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis and kidney stones can cause the taste in the mouth as well.
