Answer:
Everyone is right about the grinding. You can also get the same symptoms by clenching your teeth. Stresses in your life can cause you to become a grinder or clencher even if you haven't done it before. If your teeth are touching in the back when you are at rest, you are clenching and that will make the muscle in your jaw be stiff and sore. Also, if you sleep with something pushing your mouth closed it can cause that. For a temporary fix get the over the counter mouth guard. If it seem to help, you can get a custom fitted one from your dentist.
It is very probably that you have been grinding your teeth when you sleep. Going to the dentist or orthodontist would be best, but in the meantime, sleep with a mouthguard. Grab one at your local sporting goods store. It may not be fashionable, but it will help the pain.
It's sound like you are exactly like me. You are a night-time teeth and jaw grinder. Your jaw is working overtime on your teeth while you are sleeping. Go to Wal-mart and buy yourself a teeth guard found in the toothpast aisle. It looks like a football players teeth guard. Wear it through the night and your should feel a remarkable difference. You are grinding your teeth and don't even know it.
if you grind your teeth alot, your jaw can feel tight, and hard to move. its called lockjaw. it will eventually go away, but it would help not to grind your teeth
grinding and clenching of teeth. you need a night guard honey.
you could be grinding your teeth at night ,AKA bruxism.
TMJ. You can't do anything about that without going to the dentist, except maybe wearing a mouth guard at night. This may not even help. The dentist will make you a splint so you dont clench your teeth at night. If the splint doesnt help, you will probably need braces.
why cant you go to the dentist?
grinding can be due to stress, just try to relax and like they said use a mouthguard at night. if it is not sore, could be an infection. its hard to diagnose without many details.
