Do braces hurt?
Answer:
Yes. When you first get them put on and when you get them tightened. When you first get them put on, it hurts for a week to 2 weeks. Tightning only hurts 2 to 3 days.
no your teeth hurt when tightened
When you first get them on, they do hurt REALLY really bad, but after a week or two, it gets better
Yes.
not really, if you get this special kind of braces, they tighten themselves gradually, so it doesn't hurt as much. but when you first get them on, it doesn't hurt, but after a couple of hours later, it feels like all of your teeth are wiggly (they are). like the feeling you get before you loose a baby tooth... for the first week you won't be able to eat anything hard. your bite probably won't match either.
The process no, however it will hurt for the new few days. New pressure, new metal inside your mouth.
On a scale of 1-10, I'd say 7.
They do when you get them on. You will barley be able to eat anything, meaning you wont be able to bite into stuff. It depends on the person sometimes it can hut for a day to a month! For me it did not hurt at all! When you go for check ups though, they tighten the braces and that really hurts, but not for long. If you have to wear elastics, by the way, they hurt too, it feels like the are pulling your teeth out. Anyways good luck!! And don't worry, everything will be fine! ( By the way it takes a while to get use to it)
No they don't. They sort of hurt sometimes when the dentist puts them on.
They don't actually "hurt" but they are annoying. Food gets caught in them and sometimes you cut your tongue or mouth on them.
It does hurt for a day or two when they are adjusted.
I fell asleep when they put mine on...
It only hurts a bit when your teeth are tightened...
I had to get braces and a herbst appliance ( two metal bars two get rid of my horrible overbite) and it away after 3 days!! lots of people it hurts for weeks and its different for everyone so it just all depends
