Will wisdom tooth grow on the same spot of extraction?

I have an extaction a few years ago..and a few years later..it is swelling and pain on the same spot, and also i notice some white thing coming out from the gums, is it wisdom tooth?

Answer:
they probably had to break your wisdom tooth in peices to remove it(work with an oral surgeon) because it could have been growing sideways(impacted) sometimes they dont remove everything..spinters, broken peices of wisdom tooth remaining...you body(mouth)is just rejecting it, and pushing the spinter out of the area...ask your dentist if she could remove it for you(cheaper) or just have an x ray taken to be sure..it does happen..happened to my husband he would nt go to the dentist but the piece eventually forced its way out of the area he had the widom tooth removed...
The doctor probably left a piece inside... or maybe it's something more serious. See a dentist.
You only have one set of wisdom teeth.

It could possible be a bone spinter working it's way out.
Sounds like a bone spur..You will need to go back to the dentist to have this removed. It may or may not be another surgical extraction. Good luck
go to your dentist. he may left something there
