What does nitrous oxide feel like?
Answer:
It depends on how you react to the medication (inhaled essentially scentless gas). It can make you feel really peacful and calm or make you giggle. If the concentration is turned up too high it can make you feel nauseous. Usually it is a pleasant experience though. I would go for it if you are nervous because you will have little anxiety but you will be aware enough to know what is going on so there is no "loss of control".
There is no smell or taste with nitrous oxide. You'll be given a mask, which will have nitrous flowing into in, and you'll breathe it in. I felt a little loopy while breathing it but was out like a light within seconds. I'd definitely suggest it! There are no side effects to it either.
I think it feels like a warm blanket has just tucked you in. Also it's kinda like you have floated up and are looking at yourself and what's going on but it's not being done on you. It's a VERY comfortable and detached feeling. Just make sure not to eat a big breakfast or lunch before you go b/c sometimes it can upset your stomach.
It feels nice...you slowly get calmer and happier, like you're floating away. I used this when I got all of my wisdom teeth taken out. I wasn't awake though, they knocked me out completely. I would definitely recommend it, I don't remember a thing from my wisdom tooth surgery!
Nitrous oxide use to be called "laughing gas" so it will be a good experience
Ohhh man, this stuff! Alright I got this 4 days ago for the first time...I'm thinking I had some weird reaction, because sitting there, after it was all done-I just burst into tears--full on bawling-for no reason at all. And then on the way home I was laughing like crazy, and then just stopped, and once again-wailed uncontrollabley. =] You'll be fine,if they're giving you this stuff, chances are you'll be too blacked out to tell what's going on.
