Please answer?!?

I got my retainer tightened 1 or 2 weeks ago, ever since then, the back of my teeth have been hurting. Just on one side though. If I leave my retainer off for like 10-15 min and put it back in, it hurts. Any ideas on why it hurts? Could it be my retainer? (Hasn't hurt before I got this retainer check)

Answer:
After you got a retainer, you should probably wear it every time. You said if you take it off for 5-10 min.,put the retainer back in, your back tooth hurts, right?

Well, that can be caused by eating without braces or doing any other activities that use you mouth.

EATING- While your retainers are off, your teeth have a chance to get back to their home(their original position). While eating, the foods can help the teeth get to their destination. And when you put in the retainer, it spots the problem and tries to fix it by putting pressure on your teeth.

SO, thats your culprit- PRESSURE!!

Lol. Hope this helps.
