Can braces cure an overbite?
Answer:
I'm pretty sure they can cure overbites. But I think if it is bad enough you might need head gear. Right away my orthodontists pretty much said i wouldnt need headgear but my sister might. I'm not sure why, but I'm guessing how bad of an over bite/under bite you have. But since I did have an overbite my orthodontist had me wear these tiny rubber bands that connect the top and bottom braces together. One on each side. This in turn pulled my teeth in the right position. Just keep in mind it hurrrts soooooooooo bad worse than when you first get your braces on so take a lot of pain medication before the visit.
Headgear...suck it up, ,it aint forever.
braces can cure an overbite, that's what they're for
well i had braces and head gear but i still have an over bite but i think its becos i didnt wear it all the time
no one gets headgear in the uk so yeah braces can cure an overbite though some teeth may have to be removed as well
hope this helps
yeah i had an overbite and they fixed it. you wont have headgear.
Headgear is becoming more rarely used, because the use of elastics can get the same result (In theory anyway).
They can cure an overbite, but in all likelyhood you will need elastics at some point in the treatment.
