Should i get invisalign or metal braces (im 13)?

I'm not too sure. I had the metal ones and they were fine. Plus you got to change the color of the elastics on them and have different colors which was kinda cool. Clear ones would be nice though because you couldnt really tell that they are there. Do they both do they same? If so i would get the clear ones. You probally wouldn't be able to see them which would be a good thing. Do whatever you feel comfortable with. Either way they both are cute and they both look fine. Plus alot of kids get the metal so the clear would be cool to get because not alot of other kids would have that.

eh i have the metal ones now..they dont suck too bad..and your only 13..your not even in high school..just get those..and you will get them off probably before you even start your freshmen year..or only a year or so into highschool..
I'd say get the metal ones. Because you are 13, you shouldn't worry about how they look because so many kids have them at that age. Plus, you know they work and maybe you can get them of sooner ;)
You also get the choice of picking colors with the metal ones!
For your age, I would go with the metal ones. I was told invisalign is mainly for adults.

Metal braces are much more effective. They are adjusted more easily. Transparent braces do not change with your teeth and you will be much more happier with your results from metal braces, and you teeth are less likely to shift back.
Visit an orthodontist who does Invisalign and another who uses the traditional braces. As you mentioned, you may not be a candidate for Invisalign. My husband used them and they worked great for him. His teeth were very crooked, but that's all he needed. Another friend wanted to use them, but her dentist told her that she would have to use metal. So find out first which is right for you and then decide.
My daughter has just got the invisalign last week. Our dentist said she was a perfect candidate. She doesn't have too many problems with her teeth
just a very large gap & front tooth is twisting. The invisalign is going to cost $2000.00 less then the metal. Some teeth cannot be moved properly with the invisalign. I would disscuss it with your dentist all the pros & cons. As far as what looks better I would have to say there is no differnce. You can see them both & I dont mind how they look
I had metal braces for 5 years and hated it. Kids would make fun of me in school because of it. If transparent braces were out back in my day, I would of picked them.
I say go for the transparent ones. Plus on the metal ones when the wires come loose they will scratch your mouth. Also if I am not mistaken I know with metal braces you have to wear rubber bands (if needed) and there are a pain in the butt. Where as with the other I am not sure you will have too. That's something to think about.
Now if you are just needing your teeth in line I would go for the transparent ones, but if you have an over or under bite you might want to go for metal due to the work better. You might want to talk to your docotor about this first.
Well, first of all I consider you very lucky to be able to get the transparent ones. Usually, your teeth can't have a big problem to be able to get those.
I'm also 13 and I have the metal braces. Do you care more about straight teeth or looks? If I were you, I'd get metal. That way you'll get better teeth, and since lots of people around this age have braces, you're not gonna stick out. Personally, I don't think metal braces are that bad. Good luck!
Please, spare yourself the trouble of getting fitted for metal braces and opt for the invisalign.
Getting the metal braces off and on for simple readjustments is just silly.
Consider yourself lucky it's even an option!
