What is a free dental plan?

I am originally from Germany and am not familar with the British health care system; I've got a new job recently and one of the benefits is a "free dental plan": what does it mean? Will it still be within the nhs system?

Answer:
it means that the company will pay for your dental work=speak to your boss and ask him/her how it is done
You don't pay. Ask your Boss for info about your company health policy details.
