You need to see your dentist. You could either have decay between the two teeth or you could possibly have a gum infection. Both can be treated pretty easily, so there's nothing to be frightened of. Good luck :)
I have had this problem since last summer. It's so gross. I have a friend who is a dental hygenist, and she told me it just needs to me surigically removed by a dentist. I would have gotten it removed sooner, but I'm pregnant, so i have avoided the dentist! I don't know why it happened to you, but mine was a result of half of my molar cracking and falling out.
