i have had my braces for 4 years and am getting them off on july 3 and wat i did was that i talked to my orthodontist and dentist on wat i can go about whitening my teeth
they told me that actually is u use the whitnening products 2 much, they can wear out ur teeth so wat i am planning to do is just use a teeth whitnening plan for about 2 weeks (Aquafresh brand)
They don't whiten your teeth. If you want your teeth whitened you have to either do it at home or make an appointment to have your dentist do it. That is why you have to brush and floss regularly so you teeth stay the same color while you have the braces on.
Your teeth will seem whiter that ever after you get your braces off. You won't even need to get them whitened.
And a word of advise from someone who screwed up... WEAR THE RETAINER LIKE THEY SAY. Otherwise your teeth will look screwed up again in a few years and you'll have to get braces again as an adult.
Well, I know you get your braces off and it feels like all this pressure from your head just dissapear's. Like the people above me said, they dont whiten your teeth, but if you want you can get your teeth bleeched. it works well. i strongly suggest that you do get a retainer because SO many of my friends got their braces off and a year or 2 later they had to get them back on! I couldn't believe it when they told me that.
