Do braces hurt when they put them on?

Okay, I've had braces for two years and I have have retainers (yay). When they put them on, it doesn't hurt because it's basically just cementing it onto your teeth and put the wire in. It depends if you can choose your colors or not, it depends on who you go to. But, the next day, your teeth may be a bit sore, and you may want to take Advil/Tylenol and eat soft foods. Naw, it doesn't hurt to get them put on. Your mouth will ache some when your teeth start moving. And you do get to pick the colors.

ceramics braces dont.. i have the silver one before and it kinda hurts.. but the ceramics braces was the best..
No, the process of putting them on is painless. The only thing I've heard from others, is that your mouth may become achy because it is stretched for a while. For me, my mouth was fine.
