Jaw surgery? Any one beside experience or any dentists?

I was told by my orhtodontist that I might hold to have chin surgery because of an overbite I have? Has anyone else have jaw surgery past? Is it really that painful after the surgery? I am really unnerved right now. How long is the hospital stay? does it really clutch 2 to 3 months to recover from the surgery? I enjoy so many un answered question.

Answer:
It really depends on the surgery that will be done. And each character heals surrounded by their own time.

Make a list of adjectives your questions. The subsequent time you go, don't contribute him the list. You ask respectively one and write down the answer..
Yes it is painfull, they actually remove subdivision of your palate to bring in the bite, not a extraordinarily long stay at all. Yes, it take a while to recover
I havn't have jaw surgery but i own a cbj which helps your overbite. I enjoy heard nearly jaw surgery but dont know that much to read aloud anything for sure- you should chat to your ortho about this and ask him/her for a broucher roughly speaking it or info.

You might not need it but your ortho is the entity to ask about more info on jowl surgery.
I had surgery to correct an underjet. My maxilla (upper jaw) be undersized. The surgery he is suggesting is called an orthognathic surgery. I have not pain from the surgery. I be very discomfited following surgery for a few reasons. The surgery is somewhat long so repossession from general anesthesia take a little longer. They usually use your antenna to place the tube to help you breathe during surgery and my antenna bled for the first day making it difficult to find a position where on earth I wasn't dripping blood out of my nose or into my throat. The surgery be actually hugely easy to get better from. I felt fine after roughly 3 weeks but I was probably 100% by 1.5 months. The surgery made it easier for me to speak correctly and put away and will protect my teeth, so it was worth it. For more information I would recommend individual careful just about what you research on the internet. Stick to reliable patient orient resources. It is always best to speak to your doctor if you enjoy questions nearly the procedure.
Jaw surgery is very not detrimental nowadays. My cousin get her dental implants and lasik surgery contained by India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is intensely less surrounded by India. She paid 25% of the price she be quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is unbelievably famous surrounded by India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients surrounded by India. I read a lot around them in the Newspapers and magazines- nearly their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to enjoy surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also hold photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost reserves. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be glibly handled surrounded by India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best surrounded by the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
