Dental Hygenists- what do you do?
Answer:
Most dental hygiene programs are 2 years in the program and 1-2 years of prerequisite work beforehand entering the program.
Dental hygiene is much more than just "cleaning" teeth. Patient instruction and oral hygiene instruction is just as vital. If your patients have verbs teeth when they leave your bureau, and then totally slackness their mouth because they are unaware of what to do, next you have not done your mission as a hygienist.
Where I live the average commission is around 250-300/day.
A hygienist is not the same as an assistant. Assistants do not require formal training or a license to work. Basically a dental assistant can achieve on the job training, or receive a tag by completing a course at a local college. Dental hygienists are licensed and have a point in direct to practice dental hygiene, just as a doctor have a license to practice medicine.
It's usually a 2 year program, but you will own to meet the requirements earlier getting into the program. Some duties include regular cheaning and deep cleaning, tolerant education, x-rays, etc.
In my nouns, the range of remuneration is $300-$500 a day, and i live contained by California.
An assistant is different than the hygienist, assistants can't do teeth cleanings and give injections.
