When you progress to the dentist for ONLY a regular cleaning, do they other hold to steal xrays?

I am just wondering if I don`t know a dentist or a rda could answer my question. When i turn for just a regular cleaning of my teeth, do they other have to bring xrays of my teeth? Why if i am only going within for something simple and not complicated? Or is it that they just want to charge my insurance more money for the xrays? Are the xrays needed for a cleaning or am i getting ripped rotten?

Answer:
They will usually take bite wing xrays any every 6 months or every year, depending on your frequency of cavities and the condition of your mouth.

They do inevitability to take these. This is the singular way to see plentiful cavities, as they are not normally visable to the naked eye.

They help yourself to them at the cleaning/exam visit so that they can block problems early and prevent them from getting worse. If xrays be not taken until you had misery or other problems it is usually too late to do a simple nourishing.

Not having regular xrays done can head to major work, and larger copays. As long as your insurance covers it you are in fact saving money within the long run!
All the dentist that I have gone to do the bite wing. When you go for a cleaning you are also getting a check up for your teeth. They look for cavity and other potential problems. It is part of the check up.
x rays are singular needed ONCE a year IF you are going to the same dentist. Regular cleanings are planned for every 6 months. So there should not be xrays more than ONCE a year. Now if u have a feeling that u r getting ripped off start the story near ur safety.Xrays CAUSE cancer&deformities.DO U WANT CHILDREN? Well too mant xrays can explanation Us to have problems when we wish to, put a stop 2 it.tell them you will stir some where else. This is America
Just communicate them when you get there--or even when you put together your appt. that you only want a cleaning and don't want X-rays.
when i be a kid, my brother and i always go for cleanings the same daytime. i had x-rays every time, and he have them maybe once every two years. one time i asked why i other had to enjoy them, and the technician told me it was routine for everyone. the dentist be a good friend of my dad's, so i know it wasn't an insurance scam. i have two of my wisdom teeth out when i be younger but they let me hold the other two, so i always thought that conceivably i was getting x-rayed to check on the progress of the two i still have. i was thoughtful of a baby when i get the first two removed, so maybe they didn't want to frenzy me...ha ha ha. as long as your insurance is paying for the x-rays, i wouldn't worry roughly speaking it.
The point in taking the x-rays is you cannot see if in that is a cavity between the teeth w/out the x rays until it is very significant. Without the x rays the cavity could spread so large that it requests a root canal or worse. Not taking x rays is resembling not wearing your glasses, you can't see. How recurrently the x rays are done depends on how prone you are to cavities. People who basically have a few cavity every once in a while procure them usually once a year, people w/ lots of cavity very habitually get cavity twice a year, and people who just about ever get cavity (you've had a couple of years w/ no cavities) can shift a year and a half contained by between.
