I myself hold a clear, plastic retainer at the moment. I have have my braces off for a year and 2 months and whenI try to purloin it off for longer than I should, I sense my teeth move. You see, teeth have some sort of memory, and loosing you retainer is not so moral. They cost about 400 dollars for top and bottom, but immediately that it has be a long time, I think it's a apposite idea to ask your orthodoontist more or less an Invisalign retainer. I have one, and I love it! It fixed the teeth that movied contained by just 24 hours. Take it from me! Hope I could aid you out!
yes, defiantly be in motion back to your ortho and go and get another, your teeth will go fund to their original positions if you don't. i know from personal experience, i wear mine every darkness. my ex on the other hand didn't. his teeth look basically like they did back the braces
Your teeth could shift back to where on earth they were until that time you had braces... Happened to me! I have not had my prudence teeth pulled yet... and apparently they be causing my teeth to be crooked to fire up with.
So long story short... after I get my braces off... i slacked past its sell-by date on the retainer...and a few years later I have to get braces again!
So one year is not drastically long... I would probably recommend ordering a topical retainer if I were you. Perhaps they can fit you beside a more comfortable one?

I had my braces stale also and my ortho told me that I have to >>> it is a MUST to wear the retainer every darkness. or every other night
because if I didn't the tooth will seize mixed up and it's like you own did nothing !! and waisted your money .
