i have top and bottom braces put on at the same time so i dont know if theres going to be much difference..adjectives i know is it hurt like hell when they would tighten them up...adjectives i could eat be soup or jello for a couple of days
this answer totally sucks, for that i am so sorry. but, This to shall pass. other a good rule of thumb, someone will other have a hell of alot worse.

Nobody have ever died of braces.
OF COURSE YOU WON'T DIE!! I had my top ones on first and later the bottoms. The bottoms hurt very inadequately and take something approaching motrin or something before you find them on and when you do, keep taking it as it hurts. Just suffer the pain because if you do what the orthodontist say your smile will come out beautifully. My braces be supposed to be on for 4 years but I got them stale in 2. Just do what they sayy and eveyrthig will be finee : ]
