I am using oragel, and another mouthrinse withe lidocaine, for mouth sores due to chemo. I have been using these for a week. The oragel doesnt seem to numb as effectively as it did in the beginning. I am seeing a doctor Monday but, with all respect, an oncologist may not know everything about Oragel. Thats why I am asking.
Answer:
actually they may know since this is a common complication. nontheless you can ask any of your doctors to prescribe an oral anethetic solution and your local pharmacist, if experienced will make something on his own with a strong local anesthetic. these things are helpful. they can make something which is stronger than oragel, good luck
