Elastics (on braces) SUCK?
Answer:
Did your dentist describe you to wear them all daylight? If so, I would listen to your dentist, especially if you want to get rid of your braces as soon a possible. I have a friend who (for some strange reason) loved to wear braces and purposely refused to wear elastics so she could hold her braces on longer. She ended up wearing braces for 7 years.
I have braces too and, yes, I had to wear those "darn" elastics as powerfully. It hurts a lot for the first few days, but after a while it won't hurt as much (trust me). So, unless you want to wear your braces for 7 years similar to my friend, I suggest you endure the affliction and start wearing them during the day (of course, run them off when you're going to guzzle. I suggest taking them off 15 min. in the past eating because your teeth stop hurting which, unambiguously, makes it easier to chew).
Have fun wearing those elastics (jk)! It will hurt, but surrounded by the end, it's worth it (the straight, delicate smile you'll get surrounded by the end is conspicuously worth all the aching and suffering of braces...and elastics).
my bro has that same prob they do suck and yes they do
You hold to put in a enduring number of hours. If you only do it at darkness, you lengthen the time you own to wear them. It hurts a lot at first but get easier the more time you do until you don't notice it, resembling every time you get the braces tightened. And the result is really worth it. (PS. When you find the retainer, really wear it; I didn't and I regret it as my teeth shifted back for a moment.)
i wore them for 6 MONTHS!
i have to agree they are annoying but contained by a week u will get used to them
try stretching out the elstics, they construct them more comfortable
wear them at night for a while and consequently your teeth will move closer to where they are supposed to be, after wear them all the time. the affliction will stop as your teeth get closer to the correct possition.
i be having like problem with the anguish. I told my orthodontist about it and he put me surrounded by lighter bands. Example, I be in the Anna's (Extra heavy) and when i told them nearly the pain they put me within Cliffs (Medium-Light). But after awhile I started wearing the Anna's again because with the Cliffs my jowl as not moving what so ever. Anyways, my point is, tell your orthodontist roughly speaking the pain and ask in the order of chaning the weight of your elastics.
