No, it isn't safe!

DO NOT use St Johns Wort if you are on Paxil.

The St Johns Wort increases the potency of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants (e.g. fluoxetine, paroxetine (Paxil)) central to potentially fatal overdose from what would generally be a standard safe dose.

Taking one Paxil tablet along woth St Johns Wort tea would be like as taking three Paxil tablets at once.
NO! Don't mix herbs and prescription drugs... unpromising idea.

Why do you involve both?
I wouldn't. Call your pharmacist before you purloin any over the counter medicine or herbal supplements as they will know if this will interact beside the prescription medications you are taking.
NO IT IS NOT SAFE AT ALL! YOU CAN GET SEROTONIN SYNDROME!!
Most authorities recommend that you do not lift St John's Wort if you are taking a prescription antidepressant. Try chamomile tea or valerian for relaxation instead. Hyland's Nerve Tonic may be helpful and won't interfere next to your medication either.
