Does anyone know what it's approaching when you stop taking anxiety medication?
Answer:
Withdrawal symptoms may go on upon discontinuing these medications, and may include anxiety, shakiness, headache, dizziness, sleeplessness, loss of appetite and within severe cases, fever, seizure and psychosis. Generally, when benzodiazapines have be taken for an extended period of time, the dosage is unhurriedly tapered sour before man completely stopped. That's what I hear. But what I hear and what I have experience are two different things. It is not as fruitless as all that. Unless you enjoy been on a giant dosage for a very long time. Then, I don`t know. Good Luck to you.
I have be on several anxiety meds, and yes it is hard to catch off. Depends on how long you've taken them and why. I petty much quit on my on. Like right very soon I'm working on getting off of xanax, be taking for over 2 yrs. now. so far so flawless. there is an herbal remedy call mood elevator, that I'm trying now. It can be purchased at any Herb store. at hand are side effects when you stop any medication, but they do go away. some of them are anxiousness, verbs, fear, and sometimes stress if you agree to it get subsequent to you. but, faith within god and personal strengh works for me. also,PRAYER, PRAYER AND MORE PRAYER
Yes, a friend of mine was on medication which he did not similar to taking so he took himself off them, and substituted his meds for Vemma, which is a automatic liquid supplement and he is doing much better next to Vemma than he did with his meds. He like to tell others how he immediately feels and the difference it make.
I hear that you must taper off immensely very slowly or you do find withdrawal symptoms, save immediately after after a few days. But depression is a different matter. Perhaps within is un underlying depression that the anxiety meds cut-back are bringing out, or maybe it's brand new. Either way, doesn`t matter what you mom's age--and if quite frail and infirm, she'd have honest reason to be aware of depressed--she could be evaluated by a good cranium doctor--psychiatrist, psychologist. Some people are easier said than done to fit. It may take a highly patient doctor to try several diffrent meds since finding one that fits her. I am not aware that anti-anxiety meds make someone apathetic, possibly they could try another one after she's cleaned out the first one.
anyone I've ever known to depend on a drug to sustain them have died violently or miserably, and inwardly 3-10 years of beginning said drug. Most of them enjoy died from 'disease'. The rest died from lack of want to live.
'Nuff said. Your mum desires to eat smoothly, get satisfactory sleep, and reassess her purpose for living. Meditation and deep thought are great for this, if she can break away from her ever so busy calendar to help herself live another 30 years.
