a prescription is singular $10, why try a home made cure?
no such luck. go to the e.r. if you can't afford a dr
None if it is viral but antibiotics for a bacterial infection.
You inevitability to treat the inflamation either road. See a doctor.
To be honest THERE IS NO HOME CURE FOR PINK EYE! I know this because I've had it multiple times. If you are short on brass or insurance you can stop by a Walmart eye doctor and for about $30 they can set you up.
But please do something. As time go on you won't be able to stand hole your eye near any reading light source. And you run the risk of infecting everyone near you. Good luck.
Purchase Chamomile tea and brew a single cup. Let the tea cool and pour onto a cloth and wipe eye compassionately. You can do this up to two times a day, but it will cure it overnight from 1 time use twice per day. It's excellent for sty too. Chamomile is a inherent anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-biotic agent. I use it for my 9 yr old daughter and it's gone on the first afternoon. It's safe, effortless, completely all intuitive and inexpensive too. Let me know how it goes.

I'm so glad that you are getting some great ideas for treating pink eye at home.
People are avoiding the over-use of anti-biotics and prescriptions because you really want a prescription anti-biotic to work when you enjoy some dreaded, gnarly thing that automatic medicine won't transport care of. If you run go and get an anti-biotic for every little infection, you will be resistant to anti-biotics in time. This have been all right publicized, but apparently needs to be re-emphasized.
I hold a real clinic next to real patients and treat pink eye successfully 100% of the time. I similar to Dandelion's suggestion of chamomile, and for stubborn infections, I usually recommend 2 tea bags of Goldenseal Leaf (not root) steeped contained by 1/2 cup water (steeped ability bring to a boil take rotten of heat beside herbs infusing for 10 minutes) Let this infusion cool and apply to eye next to cotton ball or dropper. It will stay fresh surrounded by the fridge for 3 days. No double dipping into your infusion!
