Generic Prescription?

Hello...Can someone tell why some insurance companies charge more co-pay for generic prescriptions? Thanks contained by advance...


Answers:    Because they are independent businesses, so they can set their rates and prices. Just approaching any other business can set its own rates and prices.

It depends on the health insurance plan your company provides. There are frequent different plans out there. Also, if you hold a union, to be exact something they can bargain for at contract time. My wife have a great plan at her last coaching job. The co-pay be $2.50 and $5. In her new coaching job it's $10, $20 and $30 depending on the drug and whether or not it's generic.
