Well this "friend" of yours is not the sharpest knife in the box. A dimebag is a very small bag with a small amount of marijuana inside the bag. I suggest that your "friend" does some research before giving you details that may be false.

When I was in high school a dime bag was about 1/3 of a baggie and a dime bag cost $10 (where the term "dime" bag came from). A dime bag is going to be different depending on who you are getting it from and what kind of pot your getting. It has been many, many, many years since then so I have no idea what today's "dime" bag would be.
A dime bag is 10 dollars of weed or half an oz of shwag in some areas. Usually when you're talking about a dime bag it isn't very good stuff (at least where I'm from). Dime bags will generally vary in size and content.
