suggest you call your local drug store and ask the pharmacist.
I'm pretty sure that is hydrocodine.
Is this the pill?

It is a painkiller also known as Vicodin (it is quite strong). It is also dangerous. Hydrocodone is habit-forming, and can lead to physical and psychological addiction; however, the potential for addiction varies from individual to individual depending on unique biological differences. In the U.S., pure hydrocodone and forms containing more than 15 mg per dosage unit are considered Schedule II drugs.

You need to find out if it was prescribed or obtained otherwise.

Physicians desk reference would be able to tell as it has a section with pictures of pills or taking the pill to the pharmacy and letting a pharmacist take a look. It could be anything from Vit C to who knows what.
Uh, oh...someone has a drug problem...intervention time, get your daughter some help...don't listen to her if she says they aren't hers...chances are very slim that she is holding them for someone else...she might be in denial, but you as a parent, shouldn't be...
APAP/ Hydrocodone (generic vicodin).
This is Hydrocodone, an analgesic with Acetaminophen and more formally known as Vicodin HP. It isn't lethal but to give her the benefit of the doubt, she may have had severe cramps at school and a friend gave it to her. The fact that you found it in her room means that she didn't take it, so that might tell you something. There are many reasons for her to have it there, so might I suggest some caution here when you approach her.

Unfortunately today, Vicodin is pretty easily obtained, doctors seem to prescribe it for any type of pain for almost any age group. My daughter, who is now 26 was given it for headaches and cramps during her menses by the doctor when she was 15. She took it once and didn't like the way that it made her feel. Aspirin did the trick. Need I say more?

Here's a website so you can look this stuff up. Best of luck!
Vicodin. You need to sit her down and have a talk. She is experimenting with drugs.
