Is there any alternative treatment to quit smoking?

Answer:
Contact the Quitline and join a Quit Smoking Clinic.
I've heard of ariculotherapy (sp?) which uses magnets on the ear to aid in the cessation of smoking.
yea work up your courage and stop smoking naturally, show that lil cigarrette how brave you are! go! It'll be tough but it's for a good cause and you will be healthier and live a lot longer!
just quit.
Try putting pictures of people with lung cancer all over your house.
Put one in your wallet and look at it everytime you get the urge to smoke so you can be reminded what it does to your lungs and face.
I just stopped smoking about 6 months ago so I KNOW how hard it is to quit. I tried the cold turkey, nicotine patch, nicotine gum, hypnosis, Photon Stimulation Treatment. None of that worked.I smoked about 15 years. The only thing that worked for me was Chantix. It's a nicotine receptor blocker. I know about 7 other people that has taken it and quit. My mom is going to the doctors next week to get a perscription for it. This medication took ALL the chemical want from me. All I had to do was break the habit part. Which is a little easier when you don't have the shakes, b*tchiness, irration, etc. that comes with withdraws.Anyone that has never smoke doesn't truly know how hard it is to quit.Ask my husband!
I wish you the best of luck!!
I smoked a pack a day for 35 years. I tried many times to quit, and would make it for maybe 2 days. One day I was in Walgreens and noticed "Smoke Away" on sale for $39.99. I bought it on a whim, commenting to the cashier that I was probably throwing away another $40. That was 4 years ago. After 4 days of "Smoke Away" I was a non-smoker, and haven't smoked since.
The stuff works because it contains all natural ingredients and actually clears your blood of nicotine--unlike the patch or any of the other chemical-type "cures" which really feed nicotine into your system. With those types, you may not smoke, but you'll become addicted to whatever you're using to "quit". (It happened to me).
So, if you haven't tried "Smoke Away", give it a whirl--I think it'll work for you. Good Luck.
PS: I don't get any money for recommending the product, I only know that it worked for me, my daughter and her boyfriend.
Try this - it worked for me - write down every reason you have for quitting, every time you feel like having a smoke, read your list. Also, find someone to help support you while you are quitting - a little encouragement goes a long way. To help with the urge to have the cig in your mouth - try chewing on sticks of licorice root (found at most health food stores) those really helped me get over the desire. And drink lots of water!

After the first three days the cravings really got easier - once my body & brain got over the fact that no more nicotine was coming!
Hi tublu, quitting smoking is a huge undertaking. While your body rids itself of the physical nicotine addiction, your mind has to cut the mental stronghold that cigarettes have over you.

Laser therapy is an option that can help you kick the habit for good.Stop smoking laser therapy is a low-level laser therapy that is virtually painless, entirely safe and helps fight nicotine cravings. It is an external, non-thermal, and non-invasive process.

If you find a way, email me, I'd like to know the secret. I've tried three times in the past year to quit, I used Chantix all three times, without success. It is expensive if you don't have insurance, 294.00 in Oregon at Rite-Aid. I've smoked for 35yrs, I live with someone who is currently dying from lung cancer, I see the devastation everyday, it's not like I don't know the risks, I simply have not been able to kick the addiction. I hope you succeed, I think I will try the Smoke-Away that someone suggested. Good luck to you in your search and your desire to quit, I hope you do it.
JAIL.
